How To Win In the SEO Game
There is no secret to getting to the top pages of a search. However, still to this day there are countless website owners who are under the impression that when they submit their web pages to the search engine they will have immediate success. While there is always a possibility, it’s not likely. A submission alone does not guarantee hits to your site. But search engine optimization (SEO) is going to be a vital tool to the success of your web pages.
Search engine optimization is the art of presenting web pages to attract the search engines. The goal of the SEO is to get your website ranked on the first page of hits for internet searches. Why is this essential? Typically an internet searcher does not click on any sites beyond the first page of the search. Why search beyond the first page if you cannot see the results on the second or third. Your success will be fantastic for the company or product you are promoting when you are ranked on the first page rather then the second or third.
But if its so critical to be on the first page, why does this seem to elude the vast majority of website owners? There are a few reasons why people avoid recreating their websites for optimal ranking.
1) Difficulty
There is a huge number of people who believe it’s just to difficult to learn SEO. The feeling is search engine optimization is only utilized and effective for the large website owners. But in reality, search engine optimization is not as hard to learn as some may be lead to believe. Why wouldn’t one take the time to learn if it has such a positive effect?
2) I’m to old to learn anything new
If you thought you didn’t have to learn anything else after you graduated think again. Life is one big school and your always learning until the day you die. But, there are some that think there is just too much to learn to ever be able to search engine optimize. Learning SEO is just a process just like any other. Just like it was driving a car you didn’t give up just because there were all these controls, accelerator pedal, brake pedal, maybe a clutch pedal, a stick shift, turn signals, mirrors, seatbelt, speedometer, etc. It’s the same here when you begin you will know absolutely nothing. With some training and a little bit of trial and error, you will get a grip on what is needed to get your web page ranked highly.
3) It Takes To Much Time
Here you are going to have to sit down and evaluate the benefits. If you were to increase sales 10 fold by getting your website optimized, then is it not worth the time? If you want something bad enough in life it is worth the effort. Once you learn the topic you will be surprised at how little it takes to stay on top. However, you can continue to spend money on pay-per-clicks, leads, and other forms of advertisement and only end up with a little bit of money for your effort or you can learn something that will put more money in your pocket.
When you reap the rewards of so much targeted traffic, all of the work involved to get there will seem irrelevant. As we all know, more traffic means more sales.
